My Furry Valentine - Show Your Pet Some Love

Valentine's Day will be here before we know it.

Am I the only one who thinks we're taking this Hallmark Holiday a little too seriously?! The flowers. The candy. The presents and fancy dinners and ugh. I prefer to stay at home with the dogs.

Valentine's Day can be a great opportunity to show our love with thoughtful gifts. And why not share the sentiment with our furry friends and include them in the fun? From pampering sessions to heart-shaped treats, there are plenty of local options to spoil your dog this Valentine's Day, like their very own funny Dog Tag from ladylilysfunnybags_TagSwagBrag and let your dog show it off at the dog park

Here are some fun things to do with your dogs

1. Walk a new path.

Try a new route instead of taking the same route for your morning, afternoon, or evening walk. Exploring new areas together is fun and helps strengthen your bond.

2. Schedule a play date.

Does your pet like to play with other pets? Does your pet have a special friend? Then schedule a play date so they can have some fun together.

3. Make homemade treats.

Homemade treats are a fun way to show your pets your love. Even if you are not the best "cook", you can find simple recipes to make your pet something special. We highly recommend our good friend Iamgurk.com

4. Cuddle with your pet.

When you cuddle your pet with some gentle pats and pats, ear scratches and/or a belly rub, you both become more relaxed and feel less stressed.

5. Donate to a pet charity.

Make a donation and help a homeless pet find a home full of LOVE.

How will you celebrate Valentine's Day?
