How to care for your Senior Dog

Updated: Feb 13, 2022

Senior dogs like to walk (okay, most of them...),they love to be outside, to sniff out the competition.. to read the latest peepee mail..

And although your senior dog can’t run as fast as he used to do, exercise is still

an essential component of any senior dog care regime.

Dogs tend to age better both physically and mentally with daily exercise.

Do not exaggerate it, see what your senior dog is still capable off, limit the duration according to the dog’s level of fitness and fatigue.

This will help maintain

* a healthy body weight

* Slow the progression of old age artheritis

* Stimulate cognitive capacity

* Heighten motor skills and coordination faculties

You can always buy a stroller or a dog carrier in case you know your senior dog will get tired midway a walk.

Just have fun.

Enjoy these walks with your senior dog and cherish the special moments between the two of you.
